Meet Your Coach
My name is Tyler Asbacher! I am the new Swim and Dive Coach for Springbrook High School, and I am super excited to get to work with the team! I began swimming at the age of 6 years old with the Norbeck Grove Barracudas in MCSL. I started club swimming at 9 years old with RMSC and continued until I graduated high school! I graduated in Spring 2026 from Salisbury University with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health Education and from Sherwood High School in 2022.
I have been the head coach of the James Creek Jellyfish (MCSL) the past 3 summers and was an assistant coach for the Norbeck Grove Barracudas for 4 years before that! I am also a club coach with RMSC, my swimming alma mater! Coaching allows me to give back to the swimming community that provided many years of fun moments! People would describe me as the loudest and hardest working coach on the deck. During the school year, I am a Physical Education teacher split between Meadow Hall ES, Forest Knolls ES, and Roscoe Nix ES. Outside of coaching and teaching, I love watching football with my family, listening to music, and playing Xbox! I can't wait to get the season started, and go Blue Devils!
